La Poste britannique célèbre d’une bien belle façon la musique en sortant une collection de timbres à l’effigie des plus grands albums rock des quarante dernières années.
Sur ces 10 timbres, on retrouve donc les pochettes de disques qui ont marqués les précédentes décennies. Dans le détail il s’agit de :

- Blur – Parklife
- Coldplay – A Rush of Blood to the Head
- New Order – Power, Corruption and Lies
- The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed
- The Clash – London Calling
- Primal Scream – Screamadelica
- David Bowie – The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars
- Led Zeppelin – IV
Comme dans toute sélection « best-of », chacun pourra trouver à redire, certains albums ayant une présence plus évidente (London Calling) que d’autres (A Rush of Blood to the Head…?). Il n’empêche : c’est un magnifique hommage au rock britannique.
